About the event
Stress doesn’t have to control you. In this workshop, we’ll dive into the SCARF model (Status, Certainty, Autonomy, Relatedness, Fairness) to help you understand what triggers your stress responses. By recognizing the patterns and gaining awareness of how these triggers affect your behaviors, you’ll leave with tools to interrupt those cycles and start responding to stress in healthier, more intentional ways.
What to Expect:
Understand the SCARF Model: Learn how Status, Certainty, Autonomy, Relatedness, and Fairness impact your stress responses.
Identify Your Stress Triggers: Reflect on your own experiences and pinpoint which SCARF elements lead to stress in your life.
Recognize Your Behavior Patterns: Explore how these stress triggers shape your reactions, including self-sabotaging behaviors like withdrawing or overcompensating.
Interrupt the Cycle: Gain practical strategies, such as mindfulness, DBT skills, and reframing, to disrupt unhelpful patterns and respond to stress more intentionally.
